SPV Training Trainees

Youthbuild Young Builder of the Year

We are delighted to report that not only one, but two SPV Special projects apprentices have been shortlisted for the 2023 YouthBuild Young builder of the Year Awards 2023

The awards ceremony will be taking place on the 18th October 2023 at the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion and we look forward to attending with the apprentices and their chosen guest

YouthBuild engage with organisations and employers in the construction industry to encourage them to offer work opportunities to young people. Through their annual events programme bring together experts in the sector to identify and share best practice, and our annual Young Builder of the Year Awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of young people and the organisations that support them.

Each year YouthBuild hold their YBUK Builder of the year Awards in 2 categories

  • In education, 14-18 years old
  • In training and employment 18-25 years old

The awards focus on not only the qualifications gained but the distance ravelled for each nominee, whether that is rising to challenges, breaking down barriers or overcoming adversity to achieve success

Both Jack and Kai are extremely valued team members at SPV Special projects Ltd. Having both joined the company after competing their Level 1 in roofing and Level 1 in brickwork, both Jack and Kai have quickly developed their skills, working well with their peers and growing in confidence.

Both have excellent attendance, a good attitude to their work and safety, are keen to ask questions and have an excellent willingness to learn. SPV look forward to supporting and developing Jack and Kai further in their careers in roofing with Jack currently working towards a Level 2 in sheeting and cladding and Kai working towards a Level 2 in scaffolding.
